Elementary students of Alvin ISD celebrated their 100th day of school on February 2, 2012. Each year elementary students have educational, fun activities on the 100th day of school.
Students get to do an array of “100” activities like dressing up as a 100 year old person to share the story of their costume, do math problems relating to 100, or write a short story regarding if they spent 100 dollars. This day is a creative exchange for kids nationwide on their 100th day of school. Alvin ISD students also made festive posters and T-shirts to commemorate their celebration.
Below are 5 activities to help celebrate the 100th day of school at home:
1) Make a magical 100 item list of things that will happen this year
2) Locate places that are 100 miles North, South, East, and West of your home or school.
3) Design a necklace with at least 100 Cheerios
4) Have everyone sing “100 bottles of pop on the wall”
5) Complete 100 jumping jacks!
The 100th day of school activities and home follow up can be found on the Scholastic website.
