The Alvin Independent School District recognized its counselors during this past week, National School Counseling Week. According to the National School Counselor Association, it’s to focus public attention on the unique contribution of professional school counselors within U.S. school systems. National School Counseling Week, sponsored by ASCA, highlights the tremendous impact school counselors can have in helping students achieve school success and plan for a career.
The Alvin ISD Academics Department hosted a Counselor Appreciation Luncheon on Friday February 10th to honor their school counselors.
Alvin High School counselors: Peggy Carlin, Vicki Cleland, Karen Daly, Ron Fitzwater, Shannon Geletka, Ashley Miller, and Carmen Sawyer.
